I built this table last summer using framing lumber for under $100!
I started by making my cuts for the table top pieces out of my 2x10s. I used my new table saw to make all of the cuts for the 2x10s. I sanded all the planks separately before attaching them together using 1 1/2″ pocket holes and 2 1/2″ pocket hole screws. My Kreg Jig
was integral to building this table. I currently have the R3, but am hoping to upgrade to the K4 soon. Look at all those pocket holes!
I beveled the long sides of the table using my table saw for something to do. I was trying to replicate live-edge wood, which it doesn’t at all, but I did end up loving the end result anyway so score?
Next I made the legs. I used 2x4s glued together to cut back on costs, but you could use 4x4s instead if that’s your preference.
